When A Family Considers Therapy
註釋When A Family Considers Therapy: A Trip Down the Yellow Brick Road is a very readable and insightful book for both the layperson as well as the experienced professional. It is rich with information about what families go through in making the decision to get into family therapy, as well as what families can expect once the adventure begins. The book also describes many of the clinical assumptions guiding the therapistas thinking and behaviour. The author offers several personal anecdotes, as well as captions from family therapy interviews to bring home his points. As serious as seeing a family therapist is for the individual family members and the family as a whole, the book is also written with a sense of humour and normalizes the process of therapy.
