Includes memoirs of his sister, Irena Sandauer-Glanz, and testimony of his mother, Berta Sandauer, on the family's wartime experiences, the pogrom in Sambor, massacres organized by Germans and Ukrainians, the ghetto in Sambor, and resistance there. Sandauer's family survived the war with the help of Ukrainians.
