T cell clones of 3 different phenotypes were isolated and expanded into long term culture from lymph nodes of C57Bl/6J mice vaccinated with irradiated S. mansoni larvae. They were characterized by surface markers, lymphokine production and functional assays. All but one of the clones were T helper cells. Clone 35 produced Interleukin-2 and was designated a T$\sb{\rm H}$1 clone. The others were designated T$\sb{\rm H}$2 clones because of Interleukin-4 production and behavior in culture.
