Confessions of a Lapsed Librarian
註釋Benge's entertaining and provocative essays on his life as librarian, lecturer, and writer in Britain, the West Indies, and Africa. He helped set up and develop library schools in various countries where an earlier British tradition had to be abandoned or severely modified. The author includes an account of his experience as an infantry soldier in World War II in Tunisia, Sicily, Italy, and Austria, which proved a decisive influence on everything that followed.
