Lynch's Law
註釋Pat Lynch, ex-Clydeside hard man, ex-Mayfair snooper, emerges from prison to find he has a client - a dead one. Richard Scott has bequeathed him his modest savings, and a last request - that he discover who had murdered his daughter two years earlier. The case is old, cold and hopeless, but Lynch is touched by the dead man's faith that he can succeed where the police have given up. Lynch re-opens it, and a chance remark by a friend of the murdered girl blazes a new trail, which he follows to the Midlands.
