註釋 The Rural Municipality of Stuartburn, Manitoba encompasses a unique landscape characterized by a wide variety of natural communities that support a diverse suite of species, many of which are provincially or nationally rare. This report reviews rare plant research & stewardship activities conducted in the Stuartburn area in 2003. The work included examination of rare plant occurrence data recorded in the Conservation Data Centre rare species database; harmonization of the data with upgraded data storage protocols; field surveys to refine rare plant occurrences; a one-day intensive survey of a section of the Roseau River to list species present along with notes on abundance, invasiveness, & habitat disturbance; presentation to the Municipality council on preservation of plant species at risk along road allowances; and development of a conservation area plan.
