Lars L. Olson was born in 1832 in Sweden. He met the missionaries in Sweden and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1862. In 1866 he married Randine Gundersen and they came with many of her family to Utah in the summer of 1866. They stayed in Provo for a short time before moving to Santaquin where they raised their family. Many of their descendants have remained in the area, and their stories are included in this volume.
