Memoirs about the author and his family in interwar and wartime Drohobycz. Pp. 65-86 deal with the Holocaust period and life in the Drohobycz ghetto. Hoffman's father, as a physician, worked also outside of the ghetto. After the liquidation of the ghetto in 1943 the family lived in a labor camp. During winter 1944 they left the camp and survived in the forests until the end of the war. After the war they settled in Poland. Mentions, also, postwar antisemitism in Poland. After the antisemitic campaign of 1968, Hoffman immigrated to Israel with his wife and son.
