Gooch Family Automobile Trip Diary
註釋Diary of a couple's working vacation car trip during Prohibition with handwritten dated entries May 6 to September 20, 1926. Covers the route they traveled from San Jose, California through Oregon, Washington and Canada, ending in Yreka, California. The author and her husband Arthur, mainly stayed at campgrounds. Arthur did day work to fund their way up to Canada and rejected a job because it required union membership. Along the way they experienced a family reunion, a fender bender with a Bank of America employee, California gin, Canadian beer, and "wild times."
