Simple Arcadia for Beginners
註釋

Simple Arcadia for Beginners: Using Capella is for Beginners. This book is for beginning modelers who have just downloaded a copy of Capella and are anxious to get started, but otherwise don't know too much about Arcadia and don't have much experience using Capella or any other similar tool. The purpose of this book is to help the reader get through the initial learning curve and start the reader on the way to becoming proficient at Arcadia modeling.

The book is designed to be a tool companion for two of the more comprehensive books on Arcadia:

Systems Architecture Modeling with the Arcadia Method: A Practical Guide to Capella (Implementation of Model Based System Engineering), 1st Edition by Pascal RoquesModel-based System and Architecture Engineering with the Arcadia Method, 1st Edition by Jean-Luc Voirin

Together, these books provide in-depth coverage of Arcadia. However, these books show only finished diagrams. They don't cover the full sequence of steps needed to construct the models and the diagrams. The goal of Simple Arcadia for Beginners: Using Capella is to get you comfortable enough with Capella and the basics of Arcadia so that you can confidently construct common models. This book covers the basic Arcadia diagram types, showing detailed steps to construct simple models that demonstrate key concepts for each diagram type. If you work your way through all of the examples in this book, you should be on a strong footing to tackle more complex modeling problems when they come your way.

Simple Arcadia for Beginners: Using Capella is a collaboration of two authors. For the Capella edition of the Simple for Beginners series, Pascal Roques provides in-depth knowledge of Arcadia and Capella. David Hetherington serves as the editor and adapts some of the material from the SysML books in the Series.

Limitations

Tool Version - The first edition of this book was authored using Capella version 6.1. Future versions of Capella may have significant changes to the user interface.Tool Manual - This is a beginner's introduction and is not a comprehensive reference for every feature of the tool.Screen Captures - Most readers appreciate our approach of providing annotated screen captures of the actual tool. However, there are physical technology issues that limit the level of sharpness we can achieve in this format. A small number of readers of previous books in this series have expressed frustration on this point.
