註釋This Matura paper is a research on the current situation of the students at the Kantonsschule Wil regarding side jobs. The results were gleaned through a survey among the students of the Kantonsschule Wil, through interviews with the heads of different companies, which offer side jobs to students, and through interviews with former students of the Kantonsschule Wil, who had side jobs during their school period. This variety of different perspectives is meant to show the situation as clearly as possible and tries to define tendencies. The aim of this Matura paper is to show the current situation of students at the Kantonsschule Wil towards side jobs. The survey shows how many of the students actually have a side job beside school and it tries to show, if there are certain tendencies connected to the reasons they give for working a side job. Also, the survey and the interviews show the advantages and disadvantages of a side job, as well as if it might have influence on school performances. The results showed that not many of the students had side jobs, even though the side jobs have several advantages, both for this moment and for the future.
