Ordeal of the Seventh Carrier (Seventh Carrier Series Book 8)
註釋

A fight to end the terrorism that has its bloody grip on the world...

The world's mightiest warship, the Yonaga, trapped and frozen for over fifty years is recovered from her icy Arctic grave and catapulted into the war-torn 21st century.

In a world where an orbiting Red Chinese particle beam weapon has rendered modern, high-tech weaponry useless, the old WWII super-carrier Yonaga is mankind's only hope against the forces of the crazed Middle Eastern terrorists who have taken control of the sea and the air.

As high officials sent by the terrorist leader Colonel Kadafi feign interest in peace negotiations and the exchange of prisoners, a battle group of a carrier, two cruisers and a fleet of destroyers steam towards Japanese shores.

Led by its Japanese samurai crew and the American Captain Brent Ross, the Yonaga is drawn into a gritty showdown.

The two forces clash off the island of Iwo Jima, where an epic showdown takes place.

It is carrier against carrier in a fiery duel to the death and the Yonaga must endure its bloodiest ordeal in the fight for freedom's cause.

Ordeal of the Seventh Carrier is the eighth book in the Seventh Carrier Series, following on from Revenge of the Seventh Carrier.

Peter Albano (1922-2006) was a US writer who served in the US Navy 1942-1946. He is known mainly for the nine-book Seventh Carrier sequence of military adventures staring the World War Two Japanese aircraft carrier Yonaga.
