Indenture, Oct. 26, 1681, written on vellum, from William Penn, proprietor of Pennsylvania, to William Jenkins, of Tenby in the county of Pembroke, Wales, in which Jenkins purchases 1,000 acres in Pennsylvania for £20 and an annual quitrent. The document is signed by William Penn and a wax seal on a strip of parchment is attached to its lower edge.
