註釋Childcare is caught between the opposing poles of human needs and capital formation. On the one hand, caring is intimately tied up in how we define ourselves, in our loving and intimate relationships, in the parts of our lives where, if fortunate, we freely choose and feel cherished. On the other hand, care is also an integral part of economic reproduction, the demands of labour and the profit-making system.
How are we to deal with this clash?
