註釋Copy of a letter dated Feb. 22, 1866 in Manila, from the governor of the Philippines, Juan de Lara e Irigoyen, to Emilio García Triviño, regente of the Audiencia, concerning jurisdiction of a complaint concerning tax collection. Three Sangleyes have filed a complaint against a former gobernadorcillo, Luis Yandiola Chna-tong, claiming that he collected a settlement tax from them which was subsequently collected a second time by the present gobernadorcillo, Antonio Siong-jon. Lara points out that the case does not belong within the jurisdiction of the Audiencia, but rather, constitutes an administrative matter.
