註釋The catalogue of a photographic exhibition on the Jews of Warsaw, held on 21 May-30 September 2003 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Warsaw ghetto uprising. All of the photos are posed except for those taken by a German photographer in the ghetto. Most of the exhibition and book deal with the prewar period and emphasize Polish-Jewish symbiosis, with a few items relating to pogroms and scant references to Polish antisemitism (pp. 128, 136, 146, 150). The section for the years 1939-43 (pp. 249-295) contains mainly photographs of the ghetto.
