Tourism and Host Community
註釋Researchers and planners have widely examined the role of community participation in tourism development. However, much of this has addressed more the actual involvement of a community in tourism, including type, level, barriers, and limitations of community participation. Tourism is now recognized as being an economic activity of global significance. As the importance of the activity has increased, attention has been given to it by governments, organizations in both the public and private sectors, and academics. The book discusses the tourism industry and the host community within which it works. It is directed at those in the industry who want to know more about the structure, activities, and community they work within.
