註釋Survey of Existing Computer Resources is a technical report which elaborates the results of the conducted survey of the existing computer resources in Guyana. The purpose of the survey is two fold: a)firstly, it serves to identify existing computer resources, that can be used for support the ISPP (Information System for Planning and Projects), and/or for transfer the data from original data sources to the ISPP, b)secondly, it updates the Inventory of Computer Equipment conducted by National Data Management Authority. The survey was conducted within the Public Sector og Guyana and the report summarizes the human and computer resources available in these agencies. The actual data (completed questionnaires) are also enclosed. Information on the following data items, as specified in the questionnaire, were collected for each agency: Institution Identification, EDP Centre Name (positin within institution), Date of Establishment, Staff (systems' engineers, programmers, information analysts, supportive staff), Computer Type (firm, type), Processor (type, length), Internal Memory (capacity), External Memory (eg. disks, magnetic tapes, diskettes), Input/Output Units (eg. terminals, card recorders, printers, plotters), Operating System Type, Compilers, Software Packages (eg. data base management system, statistical package), Service (renting, costs, consulting), Respondent Identification (name, date).
