註釋Tereza Mbire is a Ugandan woman, ahead of her time. Born in 1934, as an orphan, she was a head teacher by the age of nineteen, a district councillor and commissioner. She became an entrepreneur, setting up the first modern bakery in the country in the post-Idi Amin period. Her life is characterised by an indomitable spirit that pervades the pages of her autobiography.
