Le Royaume d'Italie de Louis II à Otton Ier (840-968)
註釋"The century, which in historiography is called either the «Century of the Italian national kings», «... of the independent kingship» or «... of the kings of Pavia», brought important innovations: regarding the social structure of the elites, forms of lordship, and culture.Three phases emerge: until 888 the preservation of an increasingly diminishing kingdom within the Carolingian universe, from 888 to 926 the game of the mighty, and from 926 to 962/968 the gradual reorientation towards the north, which took place at the expense of the personal experiences of a king who could be described as a «transitional ruler» - Hugh of Provence. The political history of that period has not been presented for a long time; therefore the aim of the present work is to travel through that century again. It relies essentially on the charters issued by the rulers, whose contextualization is aimed to facilitate the understanding of that period of history." --
