註釋LC/2/2/3 Presents his designs for the restoration of the Rittersaal in the Palais de Residence, Hanover, and for a monument to Waterloo built in front of the palace, and gives a description; intends to send also a treatise in German on timber construction, which he hopes the Institute will translate into English and publish [a communication from Laves entitled `On a system of framing for floors of large span, and applicable to bridges, whether of timber or iron' was read at a RIBA meeting on 16 March 1840].
