註釋This series, now on its eighth set, is designed for elementary-aged children to provide them with information on the animals that most attract their interest. There are 21 volumes in the set, each with 48 pages. This eighth set in the series provides volumes on corals, eels, ferrets, llamas, octopuses, swans, ticks, and vultures, just to name a few. Each volume addresses many issues, such as the animal's life cycle, habitat, family life, and anatomy, in simplistic terms that young children will understand. Each volume provides a "Facts in Brief" section that provides information on classification, physical characteristics, habits, and diet. The volumes are filled with color photographs as well as a glossary of words to know and an index.
