註釋
There are many variables that enter into coal mining research and development. Exploration, mining, processing, transportation, and marketing of coal are all important components of a coal operation. Equally important is the impact of the coal operation in relationship to environmental standards. These components form the basis within which as [i.e. "an"] assessment of the Iowa Coal Project and its proposed continuance is made by the Energy Policy Council. A brief overview of these components as they relate to the Iowa Coal Project is given below, followed by a synopsis of the goals, objectives and accomplishments of the Iowa Coal Project to date, a discussion of the proposal for continuance of the Iowa Coal Project and the Energy Policy Council's recommendation.
