Sweet Talking
註釋A humorous look at life in a sugar factory during its heyday in the seventies and eighties.Sweet Talking tells the humorous tale of life in a sugar factory concentrating on the characters that worked there and the dynamic between them. As a running backdrop it also tells the story of the politics of the day and how this affected the lives of the employees of Global Molasses, a fictitious factory in the East End of London. It develops into a thriller to explain how all the above factors may have come together to decide the future of the establishment. The author has drawn on his own experiences of working in the sugar industry to relate incidences, some fictional, some that really happened and some which have a grain of truth but which are greatly embellished. Only the people who were there in those far off days will know which is which!
