Denise Marie Hardnett earned a Visual Communications Media Degree in Fine Arts from Madison College, Madison, Wisconsin. She also completed coursework at Savannah College of Art and Design, Atlanta, Georgia. 

Denise started writing books to help empower women to develop survival skills. She is the author of a children's book entitled "I Love ME" and a teen book entitled "I Love ME from Pieces Made Whole".
