註釋After fifteen years in gaol, Frank Dover goes looking for hidden gold ingots. Instead he finds water and trouble; lots of both. At the age of eighteen Frank was involved in the hold-up of a mule train bringing smelted gold down from the Cedar Creek mines. A tip-off meant that before the robbery was completed the gang was arrested with the exception of Frank who was hiding in the trees minding the horses of the others. Three gold bars had already been loaded into the saddlebags and Frank takes them home and hides them. Three days later he too is arrested and, like the other members of the gang, is sentenced to fiteen years in the La Junta penitentiary. Now he is free, and payback time for all those years spent behind bars has arrived...
