註釋In 1906, the Province of Alberta passed the first Attorney General's Act. Today its equivalent is found in the Alberta statutes in a form little different from the original. The Act details wide-ranging duties and reponsibilities for the Attorney Gerneral which are addressed by the department. These include: civil law, court and property services, criminal justice, chief medical examiner, legislative counsel office, and other boards and agencies. Acts administered, revenue and expenditures are included.
