註釋Beat About the Bush is a hilarious book of sayings we use that don't really make any sense. It's a humorous read for all ages. Author Phil Woods' first taste of a pen was when he was just six months old. He ended up in a hospital though after swallowing it! On a serious note, it was only when he and co-author Steve Smith had written down lots of everyday things people say that amused them that the thought of Beat About the Bush occurred to them. And you'll be thankful it did...because this book is extremely amusing. We all go through life repeating cliches and complaining about the same things. But fear not! Help is at hand to put some fun into everyday language and rescue you from your pit of lexicographical doom. Join Phil and Steve on a journey through what we're really saying when we constantly drag up tired old phrases, and find out how to transform communication into a source of fun for even the most menial of tasks. Language will no longer be the same. Join them as they dispel the myths and put the lang back into language. We don't know what that means but that's not the point! Words bring life to any occasion, so let's celebrate them by making them do the unexpected.Phil and Steve mix them up, throw them about a bit and have some fun, making nonsense make sense.
