註釋
This study aimed to find out if there is a significant relationship between job characteristics to employee empowerment and intrinsic motivation among regular nurses of University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center and Manila Doctors’ Hospital. To identify the level of existence of job characteristics in the two hospitals, a 2-part survey questionnaire developed by G. R. Oldham and J. R. Hackman was used to collect data. For employee empowerment, the Psychological Empowerment Inventory was used. For the intrinsic motivation questionnaire, twelve self-validated questions were used. A total of 197 respondents were taken from the two participants. Ninety seven from UERMMC, and 100 from MDH, and from these, data were collected and analyzed. Using Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient also known as Pearson’s r, the researchers were able to conduct correlational analysis of the data. The descriptive analysis was obtained through the SPSS. The results revealed that job characteristics contributed to employee empowerment and intrinsic motivation but have low correlation. This is because of the three psychological states that served as mediating variables and individual differences as moderating variables were not considered.
