First annual report of the Corporation, established in 1988 to promote and stimulate economic development in Northern Ontario by providing financial assistance for single-industry communities experiencing economic disruption; development of new technology, especially in the resource sector; and for small businesses to begin, modernize or expand. The Fund is a 12-year, $360 million provincial commitment in annual installments of $30 million. This report describes the Fund and its programs and lists the approved projects by organization and type. A financial statement is included.
