註釋The father of the second baronet, also called Richard was born 1602 to Sir John Newdigate and Anne his wife, daughter of Sir Edward Fitton of Gawsworth. Sir Richard and Lady Anne's eighth child and first surviving son, Richard was born on May 5, 1644. He married on December 21, 1665, Mary, one of the five daughters of Sir Edward Bagot, second baronet of Blithefield, Staffordshire. From this union fifteen children were born, eigth boys and seven girls. Two sons died in infancy and one son died at age fifteen years. The remaining eleven children grew to adulthood. Mary died on the 14th of September 1692 forty-eight years of age. Sir Richard remarried to Henrietta Wigginton, daughter of Captain Thomas Wigginton, of Ham, Surrey on May 2, 1704. Three children were born of this marriage. He died on the 4th of January 1710.
