International trade, when focused on human and market development, is the most effective tool in preventing terrorism and maintaining global stability. ... Will increased trade make poor, developing countries less vulnerable to terrorism? Latin America, Asia, and Africa have welcomed and encouraged trade in their developing countries, seeking increased foreign investment to stimulate the growth of their economies.
