An important category of patients who address to dental specialist is represented by patients of 50 or over 50 years old. One of most complicated and challenging situation is represented by very long edentulous span, when patient needs complex prosthetic treatment. The objective of this study is represented by evaluation of incidence and prevalence of very long partial edentation. We found that very long partial edentation is mostly present at patient over 50 years old, is more prevalent in women than men, and this type of partial edentulism is more prevalent in maxillary than mandible.
