註釋Memorandum, dated 15 April 1861, from James Pagan (1809-1898) Confederate States Commissary for the soldiers stationed at Fort Moultrie, asking that his clerk, one S.S. Feyssoux, receive pay for work completed for the commissary between 10 January 1861 and 15 April 1861. Pagan states that "Gen[era]l [John] Dunovant" assured him that he would "recommend Mr. Feyssoux for full compensation," but this had apparently not yet happened
