Baldemar Is Made of Clay
註釋Bernadette Gibbons, an eccentric filmmaker, locks herself in her basement all day, every day, in order to create her own world, in claymation. In it, a little blue man, Baldemar, finds himself in the center of a bizarre office quandary. Every day his office building holds a new hazard. Spikes drop from the ceiling. Blood is underneath the wallpaper. Half his coworkers are ready to kill the person responsible, a loopy old man named Admus, while the other half are violently enamored with him. Baldemar is the only one impartial, and the terrible consequences are about to surface. As her main character's life spirals out of control, Bernadette struggles with the loneliness of her own- stemming from a messily ended affair with beautiful blonde Sylvia, her former sponsor- while trying to connect with creatures outside of her basement studio. Family members barely return her calls and every conversation with old lovers brings her closer to relapsing back into insanity. But there is always refuge in art, and Bernadette continually returns to her clay world, hoping it will provide some kind of antidote.
