History of Swedish Accident Statistics and Preventative Strategies
註釋A study was conducted to learn more about the history of Swedish accident statistics and to develop a better understanding of how the different tools and methods can be used as accident prevention measures. Every year approximately 100,000 employees are injured resulting in 100 fatalities. The National Board of Occupational Safety and Health has sought to reduce these figures by imposing stricter regulations on the working environment. Research being conducted includes the major causes of occupational injuries and the highest risk occupations. Accident preventive strategies are being used to prevent injuries and limit the risks involved. There are several tools and methods that can be used in accident prevention. Sweden uses accident investigations, risk analysis, safety management, injury information feedback, and major hazard control. Each one of these preventive strategies can be effectively utilized if there is good communication channels and cooperation between employers and employees. The main object ive is to identify and eliminate the risks or hazards that will cause injury or illness to all personnel.
