註釋Specific guidelines, a week's worth of sample menus, and helpful suggestions are provided for each component of the weight loss diet: 1) the basic weight-loss diet, 2) the party weight-loss diet, 3) the vegetarian weight-loss, and 4) the lifetime diet. Aspects of planning a permanent weight control program are outlined, including 1) selecting an appropriate daily calorie level, 2) calculating nutrition information for recipes and, 3) alternating between weight loss and wieght maintenance diets to control weight. Lifestyle considerations - special occasions, entertaining, dining out - and some special diets (i.e. diabetes, hypoglycemia, low-cholesterol, low-sodium) are discussed. Recipes are introduced in the following categories: stocks, sources, and toppings; soups; vegetables and vegetarian entrees; fish, poultry, and meat; breads and other starches; desserts and fruits; beverages.
