註釋Describes the odyssey of a group of Jews living in France who, at the time of the Nazi occupation, sought refuge in the Italian-occupied area, at St-Martin-Vésubie. After the Allies' armistice with Italy in 1943 these Jews became fair play for the Nazis. They crossed the Alps with the aid of Italian soldiers and partisans, but eventually they were caught there by German troops, interned in a transit camp at Borgo San Dalmazzo, and ultimately deported to Auschwitz. Includes lists with the names of the deportees.
