註釋Blaustein, who was born in 1929 in Palestine, travelled to Poland with her mother in August 1939 to visit relatives in Piotrkow and was trapped by the Nazi occupation. Her relatives' homes became part of the Piotrkow ghetto, which was initially not closed off. She and her mother left the ghetto after a short time and, posing as non-Jews, travelled to Italy and then returned to Palestine.
