Ngo Tu Lap's book is probably the first work in Vietnam to study Ho Chi Minh's thought at the philosophical level. The author argues that the main source of Ho Chi Minh's thought is the Vietnamese ideological tradition, which he identifies as Community Practitioner, including Practical Methodology and Community Value System. In some ways the book is an academic dialogue with Mandelstam about Ho Chi Minh and the "culture of the future" of which Ho Chi Minh is, without doubt, the most important thinker.
