First edition of a collection of sermons by the popular Franciscan preacher Roberto Caracciolo. These sermons became models of oratory and all preachers attempted not only to imitate Caracciolo's thematic expositions but also his manner of expression and his gestures. Even in their printed form the sermons are very suggestive and filled with references to classical literature and history. They were Caracciolo's most popular work and were reprinted at least 18 times in the 15th century alone.
