The second column is captioned "William E. Channing" and begins: "We should discourage the sale of ardent spirit." Page [2] is captioned "Order of exercises for a meeting of the Friends of Temperance, at the Church in Charles Street, Sunday evening, March 25, 1838." Text beneath caption is printed in two columns divided by a single rule. Hymn (3) is seven verses, first line: "Dash to the floor that bowl!" Hymn (5) is three verses, tune: "Old Hundred", first line: "Hosannas, Lord, to thee we sing."
