Die kaiserzeitlichen Lampen vom Kerameikos
註釋This substantial volume discusses and catalogues lamps dating from the Roman imperial period which have been found during excavations of the Karameikos, or `potters' quarter', in Athens. Sections focus on types of imported lamps from the 1st and 2nd centuries AD, lamps found in the Pompeian complex and 4th-, 5th- and 6th-century examples. Particular attention is paid to decoration and makers' marks. The illustrated catalogue of 4774 lamps comprises much of the volume.
