The plays included in this volume were selected from forty-eight scripts which were considered. We are proud of the range of theatrical style which they represent, and of the success each has achieved in original production by such diverse theatres as Montreal International Theatre, Peterborough Theatre Guild, Redlight Theatre (Toronto), Theatre London (Grand Theatre and National Arts Centre) and Alberta Theatre Projects (Calgary).
