Reaction Engineering Characterization of Biocatalytic Organoborane Synthesis
註釋Organoboranes (OBs) are versatile building blocks and precursors for various applications in todays agriculture, pharmacy and organic chemistry. To replace their environmentally offensive and less-selective chemical synthesis routes, this thesis focused on a recently discovered biocatalytic approach of OB synthesis called biocatalytic borylation. Here, tests investigated the state of the starting materials with respect to pH, temperature and UV-light. The enzymatic reaction was characterized according to Michaelis-Menten kinetics to derive a kinetic model, which was evaluated via simulations. Moreover, OB synthesis was executed in batch, fed-batch and continuous mode, where especially the fed-batch mode improved space-time yield and the final product concentration.
