A biography of Key Pittman, serving as Nevada's Senator for twenty years. The major portion of the book is devoted to Pittman's senatorial career with emphasis on his fight for a higher price for domestic silver and on the years 1933-1940, during which he was chairman of the Foreign Relations Commitee, a close friend of Franklin Roosevelt, and a member of the Democratic party's inner circle. It includes Pittman's exploits during the Klondike gold rush.
