註釋Richard Haines was probably born in England. He married Margaret in England. Richard and his wife with their three sons and one daughter left England in 1682 for America. While at sea Richard died and another son, Joseph, was born. The family settled in Burlinton County, New Jersey. Descendants lived in New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and elsewhere.
