The ritual trapped the demon in his blood, imprisoning it, for as long as his blood flows, whether through his veins or his descendants. Currently, my grandfather hosts the demon that my bloodline has been charged with. My father is not his first born son. My uncle is dead. I am next in line. My grandfather will die soon, within days. It is my duty to kill him so I can devour the demon's soul. The burden then falls to me to feed the beast in order to maintain control of it. Such is the Jäger curse. Such is the curse of a Sin Eater.
