註釋John Douglas was born near Glasgow, Scotland, in 1636. He immigrated to Maryland in the 1650's. He married Sarah Bonner and they had 7 children. John died in Charles County, Maryland in 1678. Sarah died in 1718. Their descendants have lived in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, and other areas in the United States.
