This work builds on the Inscriptiones Galliae, an appendix to the Inscriptiones Graecae published by Albert Lebegue in 1890; it expands Lebegue's work to include the numerous inscriptions discovered since 1890, and also to reflect the profound changes in methodology that have taken place in epigraphy.
